If you've done some research on the flourishing city of Marrakech, then you've certainly already seen photos of a blue house surrounded by lush vegetation. This is the Majorelle Garden, the best-known botanical garden in Marrakech, or even morocco.


The former house of Yves-Saint-Laurent


It was the painter Jacques Majorelle who powerfully built this splendid house in the 30s. But it correctly is the famous stylist Yves-Saint-Laurent and his companion Pierre Bergé who have made this charming place what it is today: a very complete botanical garden in which the house and the royal blue pots detonate in the most delightful way.
The Majorelle Garden is still a botanical garden today, but now the lively place is also home to the Berber Museum. The Majorelle Garden is open every day of the year, from 8 am to 5.30 pm (from October 1st to April 30th, from 8 am to 6 pm (from May 1st to September 30th and from 9 am to 5 pm during the month of Ramadan). It takes 70 DHS for an entrance ticket to the garden and 30 DHS for an entrance ticket to the museum. Some discounted rates are available and admission is free for children under 12 years old, accompanied.

Practical information 
The Majorelle Garden is open all year round (schedules vary according to the seasons). The public rate for the entrance to the garden is 70 DHS and that of the entrance to the museum is 30 Dhs.

To get easily to the Majorelle Garden, it is advisable to rent a car in Marrakech.
